Helions Bumpstead rehabilitation class

Posted 24/06/2009

A rehabilitation class is now running from 11am to 12 noon Monday in Helions Bumpstead Village Hall.

The class is run by ARNI (Action for Rehabilitation from Neurological Injury) is a charity, set up in 2001, dedicated to the rehabilitation of stroke survivors. Using specific training techniques to improve strength, balance and posture, the classes are designed to fill the gap when physiotherapy has ended. The classes will be run by Liz Fowler, BSc (Hons), who lives in Helions and who is a volunteer. Liz is a certified ARNI Instructor, as well as a fully qualified Personal Trainer and member of the National Register of Personal Trainers.

By showing stroke survivors a range of specific exercises, over time, this type of practical help can improve your level of self reliance, helping you cope more ably with your limitations and future challenges.

- £4.50 per person, per session

- Maximum six people per session
